Myokymia or eye twitching, is an involuntary eyelid muscle contraction and there is no exact reason for it.
It can be caused by stress , caffeine intake, fatigue, strain of the eyes and squinting after reading or working on a computer for long hours.
Prolong twitching is an indication for you to visit your ophthalmologist.
I recommend that you visit your ophthalmologist and make him/her exclude any abnormality before you consider it stress related.
