Treatment options include warm teas and soups. When you drink your tea add a touch of lemon to help as well. Cloraseptic spray will help as well at night before bed. Gargling warm salt water will help break up any congestion and will help get you over this quicker.

Try to avoid straining your voice as this will only make it worse. Avoid screaming or hollering. Speak as little as you have to over the next couple days to give your throat a rest as well.
