Good evening Stephanie!

If someone has PhD after their name, it stands for Doctor of Philosophy. Most of your college professors will have this title, as well as your professionals in the areas of science and humanities.

If a person has APRN after their name, it stands for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. This is a registered nurse with advanced skills and knowledge, most often with a master's degree or higher.

If there is a BC in the person's title it means that they are board certified.

I hope that this helps.

PLEASE remember to accepy my answer so that I get credit for my time and effort.

Thanks,

Sarah
