Customer Question

I am having sweats and feel cold around the neck. My temperature, taken on with a mouth thermometer just read 96.7 What should I do. Other than being concerned I don't feel too bad.Except for feeling cold and clammy. I am currently taking nystatin oral suspension due to a yeast infection in my mouth. I have been onit three days. Prior to this evening I was feeling better. I ate out and had two beers, one glass of wine. I have had yeast infections throughout my life. I'm 51 yrs old.

Hello,

The commonest causes of a cold and clammy skin are shock, heat exhaustion, anxiety attack, impending heart attack or severe pain.

Cold clammy skin can also occur just before a viral infection or can occur due to food poisoning.

Please keep an eye out for any other symptoms for at least the next 24 hours. If you have any chest pain or pain in the jaw, right hand or neck, any diarrhea or vomiting, diffiulty in breathing, dizzyness, please go to the ER.

Meanwhile drink cool water, sponge yourself down and stay in a cool place to decrease heat exhaustion of you have any.

I hope this helps.
