There is a controversy on if woman can get a UTI during the use of a hot tub. If a hot tub is properly maintained, then chances or getting a UTI shouldn't occur. However, hot tubs are very prone to certain bacteria. If a woman spends a lot of time in the hot tub or even a regular tub etc, and bacteria gets into the urethra, then yes it's very possible a UTI can occur.

However some medical studies have been done, and have shown a woman shouldn't. Yet some woman still do.
