When I lay down at night I notice my body quivers or vibrates....or seems to shake internally. If I hold my hand out, it is very steady. but, when I am real quiet, I feel almost like I am vibrating or radiating. It is unsettling and even bothers my bed-time reading. this started about 3 weeks ago. It has happened once during the ay. It is almost like having a full body panic attack without the racing heart. I take Nexium (about 8 months now), prempro .325 every other day, 1/2 triamterene a day for slightly elev. blood pressure, 81 mg. aspirin, multi vitamin, and 12-1500 mg. calcium with vitamin D (400 mg per 500 tab). I am being treated for some back and shoulder pain and only occasionally take (not every day) a carisoprodol tab. for muscle relaxing. I am 64 years old, female.
When you take the carisoprodol to you get the symptoms?
I've taken 18 carisoprodol since the prescription was written on 5/22/07. I only took them twice a day 2 times (which was what the script allowed). I have not tracked whether or not taking these has affected my night symptoms. I took one last night around 7:00 p.m. and I had the shaking last night and frankly have noticed that I feel some shaky or uneasy today. Hard to describe. Not to the point of unsteadiness, just a little shaky. I have had allergiic reactions to 3 antiobiotics over the past 5 years. Usually welts, rashes, or heat over my body.
It would be interesting to know if the Soma (carisoprodol) prevented or relieved the symptoms. The symptoms sound anxiety related. The heart doesn't have to be racing during a panic/anxiety attack. Soma has a tranquilizing effect and that's why I was aking about it. You should discuss this problem with your doctor regarding treatment. I think it's anxiety related. I hope that this was helpful.
