Hello,

Emesis varies depending on what you have eaten and drunk in the past and can be many colors and textures that don't necessarily signify anything. Morning sickness does not generally begin until after you have missed a period. To determine if you are pregnant you should wait at least 1-2 weeks after skipping a period and then use your first urine of the morning which has the highest concentration of the pregnancy hormone hCG that the test is checking for. Good luck.

If I'm having severe diahrea along with the vomiting, does that mean anything?
Expert:  A. Schuyler, NP replied 9 years ago.

Hi,

Diarrhea along with the vomiting probably means that it is more likely a viral gastroenteritis than anything else. Be sure to sip some electrolyte replacement fluid like Gatorade so you don't become dehydrated from all the vomiting and diarrhea. It will make you feel better than trying to drink plain water. As you improve, you can add Jello, popsicles, toast, crackers, boiled rice, applesauce, etc. as tolerated. I hope you feel better soon.
