Hi,
Since you are online, could you please give some more information:

Do these spots remain the same all the time or do they come and go?

Are they on the inside of the mouth or the outside?

I am available online to help you further after I get this info.

They fade some after a hot shower. They are only on the outside of my lips.

Hi,

These are almost certainly Fordyce's granules.

Fordyce's granules are small clumps of sebaceous glands that are located on the border of the lips or inside the mouth, and on the penis or labia. They are clusters of sebaceous glands which can be present in these areas. Some amount of Fordyce's glands, more or less, are found on upto 8/10 people.

They are no cause of worry at all, they are perfectly normal glands, only their location makes them visible. You should not worry about them.

Reply to Dr. D. Evans's Post: Is there any kind of treatment for this condition of the lips
Expert:  Dr. D. Evans replied 9 years ago.
No, No treatment at all is necessary.

However, if you feel they represent a cosmetic problem, the you can go for cryosurgery. Here a small cold probe is touched to the glands so that they shrivel off. You can ask for this at the doctor's.
