I have a lump under my left cheek bone. I can see it ...

Customer Question

I have a lump under my left cheek bone. I can see it pushing out my face looking like the left cheek is swollen. When I open my mouth wide it becomes even more visiable. I cannot feel or see it inside my mouth. It feels very sore and tender and is the size of a quarter. It hurts really bad if I touch it and can cause my head to hurt and my left ear when I touch it or lay on it. I cannot tell if it is attached to the upper jaw bone but feels like it is. It does not move from that place. Can you tell me what may have caused this problem? Or what could be some of the reasons? Thank you for your help. I don't know how long it has been there for sure.
