There are 2 main causes of abdominal movement besides fetal movements:
- Excessive movement of the intestines - this can occur when you suffer from mild indigestion. Gas is formed when the undigested food ferments. This causes irritation and there is excess movement of the intestines as they attempt to remove the gas. Movement of the gas itself can cause a sensation of something moving in the abdomen. Sometimes this may cause an acute colicky pain with nausea and vomiting.
- Gallbladder spasms: If a gallstone is lodged in the bile duct or when a gallstone moves within the gallbladder, there may be spasm. There is usually acute pain the right upper part of the abdomen, fever with chills, nausea an vomiting. Please see: http://www.weight.com/gb.asp
Enzyme preparations, regular exercise and a bland diet can usually help with the indigetion while gallstone can be diagnosed with an abdominal Xray.
I hope this helps.
