This could be an infection, or a pulled muscle. Try icing the area if you can pinpoint a site. Take some motrin or advil, and drink lots of water to try to flush out your system. If the pain is bad, you might want to go to the ER as it can be a sign of testicular torsion which could turn into an emergency. It can cause infertility if not treated promptly.
