recently developed strech marks on my breasts that are still redish

Customer Question

I have recently developed strech marks on my breasts that are still redish. i understand i should treat them before they turn white. i have read on the web of few products: Mederma, Skinceuticals retinot 1.0%, Renova and Cellex-c high potency serum. Those are my q's: 1. from all the products above - what is the most efective? 2. for those products - are there a prescription and non-prescription versions? if yes, are the prescriptions ones more effective? (for example - retinol). 3. i read all those products are to be used for a period of time of up to a yr to see results. are those results due to the fact that strech marks naturally fade with time regardless of treatment? or do those treatments really do make a diference? thank you!

Hello again!

As a person who has stretch marks, I can say that for me they faded over time. Other than my normal skin care, bathing and lotion, I have not done anything else to get rid of them.

I'm sorry I cannot give you more information on the products above because I have not tried them myself. In my opinion, the reason I haven't is because I feel they are a waste of money, but that's just my opinion.

I wish you the best,

Kerry

Greetings:

Thank you for responding and your interest in natural remedies. There is no "cure" for stretch marks, but proper care can reduce the prominence of same - (they fade).....

Please know that "stretch marks are generally caused due to hormone activity, and related hormone activity mostly happens during natural growth for adolescent boys and girls, rapid weight gain/loss, depression or extreme unhappiness (unhappy, stressed and depressed people are more likely to get stretch marks), long term lacking of certain nutrients, sudden change in physical or environmental conditions, pregnancy and certain medication may cause stretch marks also....especially steroid related medications."

Castor Oil is very effective and has a long history of healing. It reduces the prominence of stretch marks. Apply a generous amount - cover with saran wrap and apply heat (warm towel or hot water bottle)- keep on for 20 min.

Stretch Marks Stretch Marks can be eliminated with Natural Remedies

Natural Relief - More Than Home Remedies

Vitamin K can be used topically to help the skin heal from wounds, including surgical incisions, burns, bruises, scars, and stretch marks.

Apply Vitamin K creamicon topically to stretch marks or other scars (this vitamin is not normally taken orally except through a physician). Depending on the severity of your stretch marks or scars, skin type and activity levels, you will see results in as little as 8-14 days to 6-8 weeks when used twice daily.

Major food sources for Vitamin K include green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, green cabbage, kale, Swiss chard, turnip greens, broccoXXXXX, XXXXXatoes, liver and lean meats and dairy products.

Putting Lavender Essential Oil directly on scars will help them fade. Newer injuries will also heal faster with the application of this oil.

STRETCH MARKS AND OTHER SCARS - SAFE NATURAL CURES, More Than Home Remedies

Lotions, creams and other topical treatments will not reach the dermis, but they can help relieve the itchiness or dryness associated with stretch marks. Keeping the skin moisturized decreases any discomfort that may be felt and if stretch marks are treated when they first appear, their appearance may be reduced significantly. Massaging nutrient-rich natural oils such as wheatgerm, jojoba or vitamin E can help heal the epidermis and also increase blood circulation to the affected area, assisting the healing process. Pregnant women should avoid products containing clary sage, basil, cinnamon or thyme, as these might adversely affect the fetus.
