Dear Sir or Madam,
I am a Hair Club member; I have used the EXT (Extreme Hair Therapy) program to jump start my hair regrowth successfully for about 4 months. When I began the program consisted of a shampoo (clean scalp and dilate blood vessels,) enzyme cleaner (dissolve oils,) conditioner, "Nutrient Booster" (increases absorption of monoxidyl) and monoxidyl. When I went in for my 4 month check up I was told that the Nutrient Booster had been discontinued, and not yet replaced with anything else.
I have since checked (online) for topical niacin (the Nutrient Booster), and discovered that the "powers that be" have put it on a "by prescription only" list, causing me to believe that the Hair Club didn't decide that the Nutrient Booster wasn't necessary, but, because their Hair Club people aren't doctors and can't prescribe the topical niacin treatment, they had to remove it from the program.
So, my question: when I visit my doctor, what should I ask for (drug name) since I'm needing a "topical niacine"? Also, can I dissolve niacin tablets and get the same effect?
The Nutrient Booster contained:botanical extracts (buckthorn, burdock, calendula, chamomile, comfrey, cransbil, hops, horsetail, nettle, rosemary, sage, thyme, yarrow, yucca, balm mint, saw palmetto,) hydrolyzed wheat proteins, aloe vera gel, hydrolyzed keratin, naicin (vit B3), wheat amino acids, jojoba oil, acetamide MEA, yeast extract, panthenol (vit B5), retinyl palmitate (vit A), ascorbic acid, ergocalciferol (vit D), tocopheral nicotinate, linoleic acid, biotin, polysorbate 80, polysorbate 60, peppermint oil, diazolidinyl urea, tetrasodium EDTA, methyl paraben, propyl paraben, methyl nicotinate, grapefruit seed extract.
