Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue you are having with your device.
To help you with this issue, may I ask:
1) What is the "condition" of the device right now? That is, does it still work well (with the currently installed maps), does the battery hold a good level of charge when NOT connected to power (at least 20 minutes), etc.?
2) Do you have a computer and USB cable - to connect the device to the computer?
3) Do you have HIGH SPEED & RELIABLE internet access?

These devices do NOT connect to the internet themselves ... they MUST be connected to a computer (via USB cable) and the computer needs to have internet access.
