To help you with this issue, may I ask:
1) The FULL Model Name & Number of the device you are working with?
NOTE: Model names and numbers are typically printed on the back or edge of the device, and any "mounting bracket" will need to be removed to see it. OR if you can find the SERIAL NUMBER, we can usually identify the exact model from that.
2) Are you actually using this device for trucking purposes?

OK - it appears to way to "disable" the HOS feature is to DELETE the Driver - using the "Driver Info" screen.
I have attached (as an IMAGE) the instructions on how to do that.
NOTE: You may have to click on the image NAME to see it.

Do you NOT have a driver listed - when going into the Driver Info screen?
