I'm trying to update the maps on my device, nuvi 2639LMT but Garmin Express doesn't recognize it.
JA: What model of Nuvi are you using? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: nuvi 2639LMT less than a year.
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Don't know what you are asking.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I went through the list that came up on Garmin Express Troubleshooting.
JA: Anything else you want the GPS expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: when I went to the website I was sent to it didn't recognize the model.

1) What was the "condition" of the device BEFORE connecting to the computer (working well, fully charged, etc.)?

2) Does the computer "see" the device - before Garmin Express is started?

3) What is showing on the display OF THE DEVICE - when it is connected to the computer?
