Customer Question

My vivoactive data screen for "walking" has changed. The data under "walking" included pace, time, distance plus other info. After not using vivoactive for a week, the only data is "steps" which I dont monitor. How do I get back to the data of pace, time, etc?
JA: What's the make/model of your GPS unit? How old is it?
Customer: s/n 3pw353043, about 1 year old
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Nothing really. Didnt change anything, just a week of not using it. I may have upgraded when it asked me to on the watch face
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I went through the user manual but that didnt help. On my watch I brought up the activity (walking) then scrolled across to different screens but found nothing helpful. Did the same on my smart phone but found nothing that helped

Ok. Whats the answer
Expert:  Pete replied 5 months ago.

You can customize data screens based on your training goals or optional accessories.

For example, you can customize one of the data screens to display your lap pace or heart rate zone.

  1. Select the action key.
  2. Select an activity.

NOTE: This feature is not available for all activities.

  3. Select > Data Screens.
  4. Select a screen.
  5. If necessary, select the toggle switch to enable the data screen.
  6. Select .
  7. Select a data field to change it.

I did this but I dont get what the script says I should get. For example, on my watch I have 'data screen' at the bottom. I go to screen 1. I can toggle between 1,2, and 3 If I toggle down I get layout. Huh?

Sorry I am unable to make a phonecall at this time, however another tech may pick it up.

The menu options you see may vary depending on which model you have and what software it is running.

Can you confirm the model number and software version?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Another tech didnt pick up and I have to leave. Lets try this tomorrow.
Expert:  Pete replied 5 months ago.

Ok, please confirm the model number and software version if you have time.

Where do i find the software version?
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I think i found it under system. Is it 4.40?
Customer: replied 5 months ago.
Since no response from you, I'm signing off. Hope I get better help tomorrow. This was a waste of time.
Expert:  Pete replied 5 months ago.

Sorry I was offline as you indicated you had to leave.

On software version 4.40 you should be able to select the data fields using the method I gave previously.

Can you see the missing data fields and view them there?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I figured it out. No need for any more communications.

Ok, glad to hear you got it sorted!
Best,
Pete.
