To help you with this issue, may I ask:
1) Do you have any plans to EVER use this unit again - in the U.S.?
2) Do you know the AGE of the maps that are installed on the device NOW?
3) Do you have a USB cable for attaching the device to a computer AND HIGH SPEED internet available?
