My garmin just dead. I have owned it for 7 years now.
JA: What is the exact model of your Garmin? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: 255 nuivi
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: Nothing. I just wanted to find my route and it did not come on. I have just the screen model and three bips
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I tried to do the factory reset by touching the right bottom side of the screen and switching on but nothing happen
JA: Anything else you want the GPS expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: That's all i can say

This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.

Remove the charger from the unit and hold the power button to off for 35 seconds.

Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the Nuvi.
