My 1000 was not charging in a port. I plugged it into my computer to try that and the computer tells me "a USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port". I did a master reset and still has the same problem...

JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I just noticed it was not charging after my ride yesterday. No other problems.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: master reset. Tried different ports and plugs.
JA: Anything else you want the GPS expert to know before I connect you?

This is usually an issue with the Firmware, so I would first like you to do this please.

Remove the charger from the Garmin and hold the power button to off for 60 seconds.

Release, then connect the charger and try to turn on the unit.

Let me know the results please

Thank you
