Hi! My name is ***** ***** I will be assisting you. Let's get started!

Expert:  crash2199 replied 1 month ago.
  1. Start with the device powered OFF
  2. Press and hold the Page button and Power ON the device
  3. Continue to hold both the Page and Power button until the I Agree button is highlighted in the lower right corner of the screen
  4. Press the Enter button

The device should now switch to the GPS satellite screen. Leave the device in clear view of the sky for at least 10-20 minutes to acquire satellites. If the device acquires the satellites before 20 minutes, the device can be used or powered off.

If you can take a minute and use the rating system to rate our session as 3 stars or higher and press Submit so I am credited with helping you.

The advice sounds good but I am not on my boat and cannot try the solution until I board.
Expert:  crash2199 replied 1 month ago.

If the GPS is with you right now, you can try the steps without being on your boat but if the GPS is on your boat then I completely understand.

On the boat. Thanks and will try. Is my $5 good faith credited back.
Expert:  crash2199 replied 1 month ago.

I am not sure what you mean -- "Is my $5 good faith credited back"

Are you asking for a refund after I have provided you with steps to fix the issue?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Are you associated with Garmin GPS products as this is what I was led to believe from the internet website. It said there was a refundable $5 good faith deposit. Then there was a $29 bill on my credit card for a phone call fee which I did not give permission or use. I have issue with this and have advised my credit card company if not removed immediately from my account.

P.S.
I did not check "Start My Free Trial" either as I thought I was dealing with Garmin or an affiliate.
