My 620 is losing a charge easily. It's a 620.....not sure

Customer Question

My 620 is losing a charge easily.
JA: What's the make/model of your GPS unit? How old is it?
Customer: It's a 620.....not sure how old? I've had it a year and bought it from someone off ebay. It has performed well, but the last couple of weeks is losing a charge easily and tonight is was completely dead when I went to use it.
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: I'm not sure of your question?
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: The only this I tried was a reboot. The watch is currently charging.
JA: Anything else you want the gps expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I checked for updates and there weren't any.

Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

Does the charger for the GPS plug directly into the GPS? if so, try powering it On, that way, while connected to the charger.

If the battery has been lasting less long lately, and the device is at least 1 year + old, then likely the battery is quite simply starting to fail - or, has failed as of today.

You will need to replace the battery in the GPS... would you like to try to do so yourself?

Or would you prefer to have someone else, or Garmin service, do it for you?
