Hi, thank you for contacting My name is***** will do my best to provide the right answer to your question.

You may have to reset the Golf Buddy device, though it may simply be getting old... 7 years for such a device is quite a lifetime.

Note that a reset of the Golf Buddy will erase User Information from it, though not the Scores information.

To reset your Golf Buddy:

Turn off the unit completely, for at least 1 or 2 minutes.
Press and hold the MENU button.
While Holding the MENU button

press and hold the POWER button until the screen lights up.
Release the POWER button ( but keep holding down the MENU button. )
Once you see emergency reboot 1/3 on the screen,

you may release the “Menu” button.
Set aside the unit for approximately 5 minutes or longer...

...and the unit will have reset to factory settings.
