when i turn on gps the time and milage are correct but as i travel they do not change. i have a nuvi 2797
JA: What's the make and model of your tv, and has turning it on been a problem in the past?
Customer: it is not a tv it is agps nuvi 2797 no problem in the past
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: nothing i turned it on and went to map all was good but noticed after a n umber of miles that the time and mil;age had not changed
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?

Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue you are having with your device.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) Do you see the field NAMES - on the view map screen? If so, can you tell me the names you see there - with the TIME and MILEAGE?

2) The AGE of the device?

3) WHEN this issue first began (or was noticed)?

4) Have you "customized" your map screen - to show the time and mileage? If so, please take a look at the following video and make sure you have put the intended data fields in the display, and then TEST your device - to see if you get what you expect.
