my nuvi 1450 has white lines running across screen. Where can I get it fixed?
JA: What model of Nuvi are you using? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: 1450 at least 4 years, it has lifetime map updates. Purchased at HSN
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: nothing, no damage, not dropped. Took out of case to use and surprise.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: nothing. Just did a map update.

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,

Sorry to hear of any issue you are having with your device.

As you MAY know, Garmin no longer offers repair of this particular model, but you may be able to have the device repaired at a couple of different places I have listed below.

Each of these places REQUIRE that you contact them to request a quote before sending the device in (to make sure they can actually do the job (have the parts available, etc.).

Option 1: Sharcnet -->>CLICK HERE<< Look for "Request Quote" button on the left of the page.

Option 2: PalmDR -->>CLICK HERE<< Look for Contact Us link (or phone number) on the page.

You may also be able to find local or online shops that offer these same services, but make sure you check out their reputation and experience in working on these units.
