Allright,, Its possible your firewall or antivirus is blocking the connection.
So try disabling your antivirus and firewall.. And then try closing and opening garmin express and see if it can access the map update.

Firewalls are made to block co nnections to your computer..
You cant connect to the garmin server, so disabling the antivirus and firewall temporarily may allow garmin express to contact the garmin server to download and update the maps.
