My Garmin 2495LT was working fine till yesterday evening,

Customer Question

My Garmin 2495LT was working fine till yesterday evening, when it came on for a couple of seconds, then went off. It has not shown a flicker of life since whether trying holding the on button down for 2 minutes, or a full reset pressing the bottom R corner of the screen before turning on, nor when repeating these after giving it lots of time to charge with the original Garmin cable. Can you help, please?
JA: What is the exact model of your Garmin? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: nuvi 2495LM and it's about 3 years old
JA: What happened right before this popped up?
Customer: The map was briefly on and it gave a direction, "turn left"
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Holding the on button down for 2 minutes, or a full reset pressing the bottom R corner of the screen before turning on, nor when repeating these after giving it lots of time to charge with the original Garmin cable
JA: Anything else you want the GPS expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I don't think so

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,

Sorry to hear of any issue you are having with your device.

To help you with this issue, may I ask:

1) Was the device "in use" - in a vehicle - at the time this happened?

2) Have you tried connecting to an alternate power source yet, and if so, what power source was that?

3) Do you still have the USB cable - for connecting to a powered ON computer?

Please use the REPLY box below.

Thanks
