It started to work on the 5 th hole. I do not find it responsive to commands. It is hard to turn off. Not happy

Your Garmin has just plain got to be defective from the store or from the vendor, that sold it to you.

I would advise you to pack it up in the original packaging and return it ASAP as defective, for a return-exchange or a return-and-refund, if it is still within the store or vendor's return-exchange period.

If the return-exchange or return-refund period is expired, then you will need to send it to Garmin instead.

That can be done (in order to get free-of-charge servicing under warranty) by way of this page:

and the instructions on that page just above the 'Online Auction Purchases' heading, and also you may use the Request A Repair Online link to start the process.
