JA: What is the exact model of your Garmin? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: 4 years i thing language button on screen has lip if that helps and it has a beach pictur on start up

But do you know the Garmin model?

The Language icon, if the Settings screen on it has icons, should be a pair of lips, and should read

Langue

or something like that, in French. English, the choice you want to change to, is of course

Anglais

or similarly.

The Settings, then the Language, is the order in most models.

In other models, the sequence is Tools, then Settings, then Language.
