Customer Question

Hi I have a Nuvi 3490 with lifetime maps. My updater claims my current maps are 2014.30. However when I try to update, it says "no new maps available." I am sure there have been updates since 2014.
JA: What model of Nuvi are you using? And can you guesstimate how old it is?
Customer: probably 4 years
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have tried connecting to my Lifetime Map Updater app multiple times and following instructions. It looks like it will work but then says No New Maps available. However it is making more and more mistakes as it is not up to date.
JA: The GPS expert can solve this for you. Anything else you want him to know before I connect you two?
Customer: I have a Mac?

Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,

Sorry to hear of any issues with updating the device or maps.

May I ask:

1) Have you tried to use Garmin Express (on your computer) for updating the device software & maps yet?

2) How old is the Updater program you are currently using?

3) WHEN did you last try to run the update program?

Thanks
