GPS Repair Problems? Ask a GPS Technician for Answers ASAP

Sorry to hear of any issue you have with your device.
May I ask:
1) If the device itself is recognized by the computer - when it is connected via the USB cable?
2) Is the microSD card seen by the computer - when installed in the device?
3) Do you have a card reader/writer in the computer or that can be attached to the computer, and if so, is the memory card seen when inserted there?
OK - is that when the card is installed in the Nuvi?
Also, do you have a card/reader slot in the computer OR any other way to "look at" the card with the computer?
One more thing: Is the card FULLY inserted into the device slot - so that if you press it in one more time it "ejects" a little bit, and can removed?
OK - please put the card in the computer card reader, and look at the "Properties" of that card. I especially interested in the "format" of the card.
OK - if you can let me know approximately WHEN you can check this, that would be great.
I only mention this because usually take a break about an hour or so from now.
OK - that sounds just about right, as that is about the time I get back from my evening break.
So if you can get back here at that time and let me know what you see of the properties of the card, that would be great.
I also recommend having the device and USB cable with you - just in case we need to do something with the device too.

Just wanted to check in and let you know I'm back.
What we will be looking for in the "Properties" of the microSD card is the "format" of the card.
I have attached an example of what you MAY see - assuming you have a Windows computer (this is windows 7 screen shot), and look at the card's "Properties" using Windows Explorer, and right-click on the device (as shown in the example.
NOTE: This is a relative small memory card (4GB), and the format of the card is shown as FAT32 (next to "File system:")

Can you tell me MORE about the microSD card, such as what is on the label of the package, or TYPE of card it is (such as SDHC or something else)?
OK - SDHC should work fine - IF it is formatted (file system) with FAT32
- AND - if the device software is up to date
- AND - there is no "connection issues" to the memory card in the device.
So may I ask WHEN was the last time you updated the Unit Software of the device?
OK - it wouldn't hurt or take much time to run GE (Garmin Express) again, and check that the software is up to date. Can you run GE now - without the memory card installed, and check for any software updates?
One other thing: Can you tell my why this card was picked now - to be installed? For example, did you try to update the maps and the program said there was not enough space for all of the maps?
