Sorry to hear of any trouble with your device.

May I ask:

1) WHERE the device was purchased, and WHEN that purchase was made?

2) If the device may have been "damaged" in any way (fell from the windshield, etc.)?

OK - UNLESS you purchased an "extended/enhanced" warranty from Best Buy that includes an "quick exchange/replacement clause", what I would recommend is contact Garmin Support - as soon as you can - to have the device repaired or replaced under the standard 1-year warranty that comes with all these devices.

I say this because it "sounds like" this device has had an intermittent "hardware issue" (perhaps a loose connection) - inside the unit, and you will want to do this as soon as possible so that it can be handled as a warranty repair.
