Sorry I didn't see your question earlier and to hear of any issue you are having with your device.
To help you with this issue, may I ask:
1) Can you CONFIRM the FULL Model Number of the device you are working with? I only ask because when I look up that Serial Number, I see it decodes to a Nuvi 255W (vs. 225W).
2) The AGE of the device?
3) When you say "had a few problems with the GPS continuous tracking" - what exactly does that mean?
4) When you say the update "was not successful" - what does that mean? Is that because you were only able to load a specific REGION on the device, or was there some other type of error that occurred?
I see it has been a few days and I just wanted to follow up to see if you have any more questions concerning this issue or if the issue was resolved?
