I have a nuvi 1490T that I bought lifetime update support for. I now cannot get into the maps update area to update my GPS. It has been a year or two since I updated my device.

I get no error message. I was expecting a request for my password ***** begin the updating but I cannot get to that area.

That's what I was trying to do. Have I forgotten some key word to get into the right update area? If so how do I get the keyword?

It will prompt you to update if it finds updates for your device, what message do you get when you connect the Garmin to your computer and open Garmin Express?

I'm not getting any message. I must be in the wrong area. All I get is offers to buy lifetime support again. I already have lifetime support, but cannot seem to contact the right area.

ok, did you sign into Garmin Express again?

I can see you are a first time user to the site. What we do here is either a question and answer type of conversation or remote support where I would actually connect to the computer and have a look and attempt to fix the problem for you.
