Sorry to hear of any trouble updating your device.
May I ask what "menu" you are looking at AND where it is (device or your computer)?
I see it has been a few days and I just wanted to follow up to see if you have any more questions concerning this issue or if the issue was resolved?
I only ask because SOME series of devices may not show on the main page, but the update "tool" (program) should be able to see the device and do any updates. That program is called Garmin Express, and you can get it for your computer at the following link. There is even a video on that page that explain how to download and install and run the program.
