i have a pair garmin 655t radios
the peer to peer navigation range is limited to .02
is there a setting i can adjust to increase the range?

Unfortunately, there is not a setting you can use to adjust the range. But the range will vary greatly depending on whether or not the devices are in line of sight of each other. If it's clear, the devices will communicate up to a few miles. But the transmission power is fixed. I wish I had better news for you but this is the technical limitation of these devices.
