Hello & Welcome to Just Answer,
Sorry to hear of the issue you are having with your GPS.
May I ask:
1) The FULL Model Number of your device?
2) The AGE of your device?
3) What "charger" are you using to attempt to charge it?
4) WHEN this issue was first noticed?
Thanks
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
1. 3100; 2. 7-10 years; 3. plug into wall. 4. 2 month ago

Hi again and thanks for that information.
May I ask if the internal battery have EVER been replaced?
If so, may I ask WHEN that last time that was done?
Thanks

Hi again and thanks for that information.
OK - at 7-10 years old, I would believe that the battery is getting worn out (or HAS worn out) and needs to be replaced.
Now you MAY be able to get a replacement battery locally - at a "battery store" (if you have one in your area), and they may be able to install it for you.
If you do not have such a store that can do this for you, you CAN get a "kit" (battery and tools) to do the job online. I have a couple of links below to the kit (on Amazon) and a video showing the process.
Maestro 3100 Battery Replacement Kit (on Amazon)

If neither of these work for you, it may be time to consider a newer model device. If you do a search on Amazon, you can get a good idea of what is available today, and the "street price" you might expect to pay for a newer device.
I hope this helps. Please let me know what you find or if you have any more questions.
Thanks, ***** *****
