As the first step, can you remove the charger and then hold the power button down for 60 seconds, then release.
Then connect the charger, wait 10 minutes and then try to turn the device on.

It does not turn on, my son has the same Approach S2 that I have, we are going to try his charger tonight to see if it will work.

ok, it looks like either the charger or the mainboard in the Garmin has failed. Test with the new charger and let me know the results please. I have marked this question to not close as requested.
