May I ask the Model for your Garmin device?
May I also ask if it is currently working, AND do you have it with you now?

May I ask WHERE you are seeing "it shows to have Canada."?
May I also ask approximately WHERE you are now (what state)?
AND if you have TESTED to see if the places you will be going in Canada have DETAILED maps available?

Hi again,
I didn't see a response from my last note, but I wanted to send the following information before I take an afternoon break.
I have a couple of links to videos that show HOW to TEST that the DETAILED maps are in the device and that they will work during your trip.
FIRST, here is a video that shows how to check the VERSION of maps that are installed on the device. What you SHOULD have is something that is VERY SIMILAR to what is shown on the video, especially where is shows "US & Canada" on the screen (about 35 seconds into the video).

SECOND, here is a video that shows how to TEST (VERIFY) that the DETAILED maps are working - once installed.
NOTE: This video shows using a Europe map card, but you can ignore most of that part. Just zoom into an area of Canada where you will be traveling, or do a SEARCH of the Points of Interest in a CITY you will be NEAR. If the DETAILED map data appears when you do this, you should be good to go.
