Until recently my Garmin Vivofit synced with my desktop PC effortlessly. But now, despite no changes that I can speak of it no longer syncs. Any ideas as to what I can do to resolve?

I am Pete, and I'll be happy to assist with your question today.
Try syncing it with another computer and check if it works ok there.
If it doesn't work there either, then the stick may be defective and will need to be returned to Garmin for repair.
