hi i have a 1490ltm but it appears that i cannot select vehicle truck i need this function as i drive a motorhome which is quiet large can you help regards john wynne

The 1490 is not a truck GPS. The options on the 1490 are Bicycle, Automobile and Pedestrian.
The most affordable truck GPS is the Nuvi 465LMT which is less than $250: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=275&pID=93838
Having said that, most RV-ers use regular GPS. Is there a reason why you think you need a truck optimized GPS?
