I charged my Garmin and now it will not power on? What do I do. I am leaving on a trip tomorrow.
Already Tried: Tried turning it on, nothing. Went to my car and tried turning it on thru the charger there, nothing.

I have the nuvi 1400, it's about 2 yrs old, and I charged it through my computer
Hi again & thanks for that information.At that particular age, the battery inside the unit SHOULD be good, but if the unit was ever exposed to extreme temperatures (HOT or COLD), then it may be getting weak, so that is something to think about.But for now, let's see if we can get the unit to power on. Please try turning on the power of the unit and HOLD the power switch to the ON position for about 15-30 seconds. Often the unit can get "hung" in what appears not to be able to power on, and it just needs a "soft reset" - which is what holding the power switch on does.Please give that a try and let me know your results.
