My Garmin Nuvi 1350T has stopped working. I tried a different power cord thinking that my original may have a break in it, but the new cord did nothing. The previous time I used it, it kept shutting down & re-booting. This last time, I was getting a "Low Battery" warning message, before it shut down completely. Is there a rechargeable battery in the unit which may need to be replaced? The unit is only about 1.5 years old & was working perfectly up til about two weeks ago. It started acting up right after we downloaded a map upgrade...I am in the Albany NY area. Is there a recommended repair facility near me? Thank you for your time.
Thanks for stopping by:It appears your battery has lost it's ability to charge, and needs replacement.Garmin DOES repair out-of-warranty units... however, you will find their flat-fee close to that of a replacement unit. You can change the battery yourself for about $25 and an hour of your time.CLICK HERE to see the battery, and a short video on how to replace it.If you have additional - Just Ask.Thanks!

Your information didn't work. I paid for your advice & bought the new battery & replaced it, following the directions in the kit. My GPS Unit still does not work. I ended up buying an entirely new GPS. Nice try. Thank you for nothing.
