I have a 770. Until recently it ran well. Now it shuts off after about 25 seconds of use. I have tried it with the charger in our two cars, but to no avail: whether connected to the car charger, or by itself, it shuts down. It will restart each time, but then shuts down again.

Hi my name isXXXXX's try three things to fix this. First please do a master reset. The instructions are at this link. Now let's do a software update. If you haven't already, please download WebUpdater at this link. After the download, connect the unit to the computer and open WebUpdater. This program will update your software. Finally, let's update the maps. Please click here and follow directions. Did it work?
