Customer Question

I have a Garmin 200 that needs road map updating...the display instructs me to go get an uploaded new map . How do I do it.

 



Already Tried:
I have been on the Garmin internet and found that my Nuvi 200 is outdated. Its now plugged into your Garmin Download but nothing happening on the sxcreen. Whats up???

First do an update of your software [free].

TO UPDATE SOFTWARE :

The preferred way to update the Unit Software in a Garmin device is by using WebUpdater.


To download WebUpdater click here.


WebUpdater updates the applicable Garmin device with the most current software version available. After updating the device take it to open sky for 15mins atleast.


TO UPDATE MAP :

If you would like to update the maps on your nüvi you will need to make sure that the nüvi is registered in a myGarmin account.

If you have not yet registered your nüvi:

  1. Go to https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/createNewAccount.faces
  2. Follow the instructions onscreen to register.

After you have created an account please do the following:

  1. Click Register
  2. Select the type of Garmin product you are registering i.e. Garmin Device or Accessory
  3. Type in the serial number
  4. Download the Garmin Communicator Plug In
  5. Follow the instructions onscreen to register.

To check for map updates after you have registered:

  1. Go to https://my.garmin.com/mygarmin/customers/myGarminHome.faces
  2. Sign in with your username and password
  3. Click Manage Maps and Downloads
  4. Click Update Available if there is an available update for your device
  5. Select the Download or DVD option*
  6. Click Add to Cart
  7. Click Checkout
  8. Follow the instructions onscreen to purchase the map update.
