In trying to update the maps I get the message "OutOfDatePluginException." What do I do next?
Already Tried: Connected the unit to the laptop and opened the Garmin site to update the maps.
Hello & Welcome, Can you tell me how long you owned this unit? Also, do you own a different Garmin unit? I only ask because and "out of date" error is usually caused by having a Garmin Communicator Plugin that is old, and it will need to be reloaded. The communicator plugin can be TESTED - and updated if needed - at the following page. You do NOT have to connect your unit to your computer when you first go that this page, as the test will run when you go to the page. What I am seeing right now is Version: 4.0.1.0., and I am using the FireFox browser (you may see slightly different versions numbers with different browsers).Garmin Communicator Plugin <-- Click HereOnce you get an indication that the plugin is up to date, only then will you need to connect your unit to the computer to make sure that it can be "seen" by other Garmin tools - such as the registration page.Please give this a try and let me know your results.---------------------------------------If you would like any additional information or have more questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
