Customer Question

I can not turn my Garmin off. I've plugged it into my computer and nothing! Is there a reset? I can't be without my "Mrs. Garmin"!

Already Tried:
Can not turn off manually. it usually asks if I want to turn off when I turn the car off and it didn't. I'm getting no touch response and no recognition when plugged into my PC.

Ok, great.

To answer your question, yes there is a reset for your 1490 but it has to be powered off to do it. So that's what we need to address first.

To power it off, I'd like you to press and hold the power button. Hold it until the unit power off.

Let me know how it goes.

Best,
Dan
