no sound in my nuvi 700
Already Tried: phoned for help.unable to get through.no help from the owners manual
Hi and thank you for your question, I will be happy to assist you.From the main screen of your garmin, click the volume icon and ensure its on the loudest setting. Then make sure the fm transmitter is disabled. If it is enabled it will turn off your speakers. Please let me know if you were able to resolve your issue by doing the above items. If not, I will continue troubleshooting with you.
how do i turn off fm transmitter?
Press the volume icon, then press "Audio Output" and then make sure internal speaker is selected.
can not find audio output
Alright your model may not have that option installed. Can you tell me what happened the last time the sound was working? Was it dropped or anything of that nature? How long have you had the unit?
not dropped I had the the start of my route with voice.there is sound there as it did come on when iam sitting in front of my computer.hd it2 years approx
So is the issue with sound, or with voice?
i only use it to travel i guess voice
ok, from the main screen tap tools, settings, language, and then select the voice and make sure a voice that has (TTS) is selected. Then connect your device to your computer and download Garmin Webupdater. It can be downloaded by clicking here. Once you have it downloaded and installed, run the program. Click next on the first screen, on the second one it will automatically detect your unit. Once your unit is detected click next. Then follow the on screen instructions for the updates. After the initial update, it will also tell you there are additional updates, select any additional updates you wish to install including voices and click next. Once the updates are complete, unplug your unit and allow it to restart. This should help with your unit.

The thing works.I tried it in the car.The initial information did the trick, gave the voice back,just had to go out.I am not good on the computer.THE MESSAGE IS FROM ANDO ALSO.The GPS has its voice back.ALL I needed was the INITAL input from you .THANX
