I havea Nuvi 205 and it will not hold a charge, what can I do?

Already Tried:
recharging unit, it will not operate for more than 10 minutes.

It is possible that the fuse in the car charger has blown or the car female plug has issue and so its not charging your device. [Sample picture below]

You can confirm this by connecting it to your computer using the USB cord and charing it for 6-7 hours (running computer) and then try to start it.

Also, try to plug in your gps to some other car (using current charger) and see if it works there. If it does, then you know that its your car's issue.

Now, if you confirm that your car charger as well as car plug is fine, then your Gps has hardware issues and needs repair. In that case dont worry, if your unit has 1 year warranty Garmin will give you free repair / replacement. Else they will charge you a flat repair fee.

I can plug into the car and it show that it is charged (the battery symble at the top shows completely green), and once I leave it on for 10 minutes, the "low battery" screen appears, and the unit shuts off shortly.

As per the symptoms its a hardware failure and the unit needs to be repaired.
