I have a Forerunner 305 which I use with Garmin Connect, or at least I try to use Connect. I connect my 305 to my computer via USB. I open Garmin Connect and click on Upload. GC searches for devices and does not find my 305. I unplug the USB plug it back in and click Upload again. This time it finds my device named Chuck so I click on Upload All New Activities. It goes into Reading activities from Chuck please wait and the blue bar begins to progress from left to right. It will reach some percentage, could be as little as 10% or as much as 80% or so and then stops. The 305 says Transfer Complete but that is not the case. So I close Connect re-open it and go through the whole procedure again. Sometimes I have to do this 15 or 20 times before it finally completes. Sometimes it will complete, but instead of it appearing in Activites it will give me a long error message. I have tried to copy the text of the error message but it will not allow me too. I have tried it on different USB connections as well as with Explorer, Firefox and Chrome same results. I have tried posting in the forums with no response. Please help me resolve this before my wife divorces me for cursing at my computer
Already Tried: I think my question cover this pretty well. I did try emailing support, but all I got was "You need to purchase a new cradle" This unit is less than a year old, I really think it is a software issue.
Ok delete all the drivers and programs off the computerThen reload them onto the computerThen you need to update the 310 firstThen you want to transfermake sure the virus software is off also
Deleted drivers and all software, reloaded them, verified that my 305 had the latest software, no virus program running. Still does the same thing. When I hit Upload it tried to read Memory Card (G). I unplugged USB, re-inserted and hit upload and it went to 50% and froze.
ok try reseting the 305 and then update the software first
Experience: FIXING AND INSTALLING GPS SYTEMS FOR 5 YEARS
Reset the 305, software is up to date, although when I try to re-install it even though it is current, it will not re-install. It goes for a few seconds, then all of a sudden it cannot communicate with my device and suggests that I unplug the USB and re-plug it, which I have now done so many times I am getting concerned I will wear out the USB ports on my computer. Tried again anyway to upload, this time it got all the way to 15% before stalling
Hi my name is Josh. Can you tell me how you updated the device and what program you used?
